Protecting Lilac Fire Victims

Wildfire victims can become re-victimized by scammers looking to make a fast buck. To protect residents affected by the Lilac Fire, District Attorney Investigators are teaming up with the Department of Insurance and the Contractors State License Board to canvas neighborhoods, letting people know how to protect themselves.  Watch more in this video. If you are a wildfire victim and you feel someone is trying to take advantage of you, report suspicious activity to the District Attorney’s Consumer Protection Unit at (619) 531-3507.
