Last week, community members came together at One Last week, community members came together at One Safe Place North @ospsandiegocounty for an important educational event focused on two of the greatest threats facing our families: human trafficking and fentanyl.

District Attorney @summerstephan joined Supervisor @supervisorjimdesmond Jim Desmond, @sdsheriff Sheriff Kelly Martinez, and other public safety leaders to empower attendees with the knowledge and tools to recognize warning signs, prevent victimization, and protect our communities. DA Stephan shared how education, awareness, and early intervention are critical to stopping human trafficking before it happens, while Sheriff Martinez highlighted the deadly dangers of fentanyl and the importance of prevention.

A special thank you to Therese Cisneros-Remington for organizing this impactful event and bringing our community together around a shared mission: keeping our children, families, and neighborhoods safe through education, collaboration, and prevention.
